Polkadoodles Challenge 15

Saturday, 29 August 2009

Not much from me this week as I’ve been having a blitz on my loft (don’t we keep a lot of rubbish) and helping our son get ready for his move to London on Tuesday. I don’t want him to go but he has a job lined up. He’s lucky to have one because so many graduates are still looking.

I was having problems with my mojo - which had vanished and my ink – it was coming off the paper, which were giving me grief this week. Anyhow I persevered and came up with this card after rotating the original sketch.

Carols Sketch Fun Challenge 12

Mr Postman arrived yesterday with my lovely prize from Carol. The papers, ribbons and flowers are gorgeous. So I’ve made a card for Carols next challenge with elements from her prize. I’ve used the ribbon and paper with a little touch of pink. The sheer circle was cut from an envelope that came in the post, it had such a lovely texture, I just had to use it.

Polkadoodles Challenge 13

Friday, 14 August 2009

A card with at least 2 folds was our challenge for this week. I have loads of gatefold cards in my box, so thought it was time to use one. I set eyelets into the card front and laced with ribbon. This would be great for an anniversary card.

Polkadoodles Challenge 12

Behind with my blog again as me and my hubby nipped of to France for a long weekend. I managed to drag him round a craft shop near Bordeaux airport called Cultura. They had a small section featuring card making and scrapbooking goodies and a couple of bits fell into my basket.

Welcome to the new Polkadoodles design team members Claire, Kris and Boni. Well done to you all.

Here’s my card for this weeks challenge. The circular card was cut on my Cricut using the bauble from Joys of the Season. I cut off the bit you use to hang it on the tree. Nikky wanted a big flower on the card, so that’s exactly what I did. I enlarged the stitched daisy and printed off assorted sizes then layered them, then popped a button in the middle.

Another great sketch from Carole and I decided to make a card for a boy or a man. I’ve had these bright and cheerful  papers sitting on my desk for a while so decided to use these.  I cut out a few extra toys to pop in the oval.

Cricut Forum UK Thread - Embossing

Saturday, 1 August 2009

Here's my card for the Funky Hand papers challenge set by Envys on the UK thread of the Cricut Forum. The papers are free to download here. I thought my Cuttlebug had been neglected a bit lately, so had to use it. The flower comes from Accent Essentials and then I realised I needed another cut so I cut a square from George to put behind the Smile sentiment.
