Florida Keys

Saturday, 29 September 2012

Me and my lovely hubby are spending 16 days visiting the Florida Keys and the Gulf coast. We’ve been promising ourselves this trip for the last couple of years and at last we are here. We’ve spent 3 nights in Key Largo, 3 in Key West and we are currently in Islamorada, which is where I’m writing this post. Each of the accommodations in the Keys have been very different, from Dove Creek Lodge in Key Largo, Atlantis House in Key West to an efficiency at Drop Anchor in Islamorada. In a couple of days we will move on, to a villa at Cape Coral. There is so much to do here, we’ve kayaked to Indian Key, cycled round Key West and seen the sunset in Mallory Square and visited the state parks of John Pennekamp and Fort Zackary Taylor. The weather has been fantastic, hot, hot hot!!!

The pics below give a flavour of some of the things we’ve seen.
