Polkadoodle Challenge 29 – Scallop Frame and Squares

Still loving the blue Christmas theme. Nikky set a great sketch and then I used papers from Jingle Jangles. The frame was cut with my Cricut and then glittered around the edges. Used the Christmas stamps, which I stamped onto card and then embossed with clear powder, cut out and put onto the squares with foam pads.

Polkadoodles Challenge 28 – 3 Christmas Trees

I've been making Christmas cards from non Christmas papers, so decided to do the same for this challenge. The background paper came from Candy Doodles, the papers for the trees and centre strip came from Sugar Birdies. I embossed stamped snowflakes and glittered the trees. Added a few gems and stamped the sentiment across the paper ribbon also from Sugar Birdies. All these fab CD’s and stamps are available at - http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/.

Watch out for Nikky on 3rd December at 2pm when she will be launching her new CD. I’m lucky enough to have seen the CD already and there’s some awesome stuff on there.

Baubles and Hats

I’ve started to make my Christmas cards and here’s two I came up with. Used lots of scraps for these, some stamps and some ribbon I bought in the Tesco sale last year. The red background has some clear embossing on it, hope you can make it out in the photos. Just discovered clear embossing and like the finish it gives.

Polkadoodles Challenge 27 – Not for Girls CD

Morning from a very wet West Sussex. This week we designed a card that is non-male using the Not For Girls CD plus the sketch. A blue theme again from me and I used the textured effect papers again, just love these. The flower paper came from the sports section and they are in fact bowling balls. The sentiment is also from the CD.

Don’t forget, if you fancy being on the Design Team, please email to sales@polkadoodles.co.uk with a link to your blog no later than the 27th November.

Polkadoodle Challenge 26 – Autumn Leaves

Have we really done half a year already. A sketch challenge for this week and use the Not For Girls CD. Kris , one of our DT members, put me onto these textured effect papers which I’d completely missed from the CD. Some of the colours reminded me of autumn leaves, so cut some out with my Cricut and arranged them as per the shape on the sketch. Used the Polkadoodles everyday stamps for the mini leaves and sentiment.

Pop over and see all the other fab entries from the design team. Hope we are all giving you inspiration for those hard to make mens cards.
