Cuttlebug Mania – School’s Out

Schools Out is nearly here for some of you, but here in the UK our universities have finished but our schools don’t finish until the end of July. But to be prepared our challenge at Cuttlebug Mania is to create a Schools Out/Graduation card. It could be a Thank You for your teacher or a congratulations card for passing your exams.

Cuttlebug Mania – You are Purrfect

Our cute kitty image has been given to the design team by Kenny K Downloads for our challenge this week. I printed the image onto A4 patterned paper and then paper pieced to create my kitty.

Cuttlebug Mania – Tic Tac Toe

 

Something new for me this week - Tic Tac Toe. I chose to use the line Die Cuts/Ribbon/Sentiment but you can chose any row - vertical, horizontal or diagonal and then using those items, create a project with a Birthday theme, pop along to Cuttlebug Mania and let us know which row you choose. Cuttlebug Mania - One for Mum

This week we would like you to create a card/project for your Mum. It could be for a birthday, Mother Day is coming up in the USA soon or it could be just to say Thank You. I have had this embossing folder for ages and never used it. I wanted to ink it and run it through my Cuttlebug, but I did it the wrong way round by accident. I really liked how it looked so I kept it that way.

Cuttlebug Mania – Colour challenge

I’ve used a border embossing folder again this week for our colour challenge at Cuttlebug Mania from the Just my Type set. Our chosen colours are Purple and Green. Cuttlebug Mania – I’m Feeling Sentimental

I’m blogging from France this week as I’m on holiday with my lovely husband.

Sentiments Only (no images allowed) are our challenge for this week at Cuttlebug Mania and I’ve taken my sentiment from the Happy Birthday Embossing folder. I embossed just parts of the folder onto scarps of coloured cardstock and then stuck them on. Very simple but bright and cheerful.

Yes, I know it isn’t Christmas for a good few months yet, but I thought this image of a Wild Rose looked perfect for a Christmas card. I found this tutorial for an Upright Z-Fold card at Little Claire Designs but there are loads of tutorials out there or perhaps you have invented something new.

Will it ever stop raining or warm up. It just seems to have been miserable here for ages. I hope it’s better where you live. But the rain has inspired our challenge for this week at Cuttlebug Mania – April Showers. I’ve used paper piecing to create my image with a few blue gems for the rain.

Cuttlebug Mania – Easter Inspiration

What do you think of as Easter approaches – chicks, chocolate, spring flowers, Easter Bunnies?? For me,  it’s yummy chocolate. The Cuttlebug folder Honeycomb was perfect for the chocolate effect on the egg. I then cracked open the top of the egg and filled it with more little eggs. Cuttlebug Mania – Sketch and Embossing

It was only when I started making my card for this weeks challenge at Cuttlebug Mania, that I realised my card from last week was very similar to the sketch!! So, I decided to just turn the card round and make it portrait.

I have 3 sets of the Cuttlebug border embossing folders and I’ve hardly used them, because to be honest, they have never inspired me!! But I had a brainwave, lets make a background with them. Where the folder left it’s edge marks, I just embossed a line to cover them up. I was really pleased with how it turned out. It’s inspired me to use them more. So lets see your take on the sketch and your project must include some dry embossing.
