I hope you like this card I made for our anniversary, slightly belated as it was in November. Happy New Year to everyone.

It’s snowing and I love it. It’s just sooooo pretty. We don’t get snow here very often and it probably won’t last long, but it’s a treat to see. Here’s a couple of photos I took. I though the plants looked lovely covered in snow.
Can you believe this our last challenge for 2009, where has the time gone. I made a similar card for Nikkys C&C program, so decided to do another one for this challenge. I used the swinging girl image and papers from the Back to Nature CD. Added some doodling and then some flowers with a little glitter in their centres. The sentiment has been stamped with a Candy Doodles stamp. We will be back again in January with more fantastic challenges.
Materials used – White square scallop cardblank, Papers and elements from Back to Nature CD, Candy Doodles stamps, Versamagic brown and green chalk ink and glitter.

This was meant to be an easel card, but I got carried away and put tape all over the back – doh. Liked the way it turned out though.

First things first, well done to the following ladies for getting onto the design team. We had loads of fab entries, but we could only pick 4 and they are - Kate, Brenda, Nettie, Fliss and Dolly who was our Guest Designer in November. Welcome to you all.
Oh, the nightmare that are printers. The toner is not sticking to the paper, hence the sad looking cow!! Anyway papers from Back to Nature plus a little glitter and some ribbon. Thought this would be fun. Hope you like my take on the challenge, which was use the sketch or add an envelope.
Materials used – White square cardblank, Papers and elements from Back to Nature CD, Black gel pen, Versamagic green chalk ink, Ribbon and Glitter.

I’ve seen lots of these on the web and thought I must have a go. What fun they are to make. This was first effort and I was pleased how it turned out. I gave it to my Mum and Dad and they loved it. I’ve made another two which I will post later. I’m definitely going to make more of these as they are so easy and versatile.

Still loving the blue Christmas theme. Nikky set a great sketch and then I used papers from Jingle Jangles. The frame was cut with my Cricut and then glittered around the edges. Used the Christmas stamps, which I stamped onto card and then embossed with clear powder, cut out and put onto the squares with foam pads.

I've been making Christmas cards from non Christmas papers, so decided to do the same for this challenge. The background paper came from Candy Doodles, the papers for the trees and centre strip came from Sugar Birdies. I embossed stamped snowflakes and glittered the trees. Added a few gems and stamped the sentiment across the paper ribbon also from Sugar Birdies. All these fab CD’s and stamps are available at - http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/.
Watch out for Nikky on 3rd December at 2pm when she will be launching her new CD. I’m lucky enough to have seen the CD already and there’s some awesome stuff on there.

I’ve started to make my Christmas cards and here’s two I came up with. Used lots of scraps for these, some stamps and some ribbon I bought in the Tesco sale last year. The red background has some clear embossing on it, hope you can make it out in the photos. Just discovered clear embossing and like the finish it gives.

Morning from a very wet West Sussex. This week we designed a card that is non-male using the Not For Girls CD plus the sketch. A blue theme again from me and I used the textured effect papers again, just love these. The flower paper came from the sports section and they are in fact bowling balls. The sentiment is also from the CD.

Have we really done half a year already. A sketch challenge for this week and use the Not For Girls CD. Kris , one of our DT members, put me onto these textured effect papers which I’d completely missed from the CD. Some of the colours reminded me of autumn leaves, so cut some out with my Cricut and arranged them as per the shape on the sketch. Used the Polkadoodles everyday stamps for the mini leaves and sentiment.
Pop over and see all the other fab entries from the design team. Hope we are all giving you inspiration for those hard to make mens cards.
Materials Used – White square cardblank, Not for Girls CD, Polkadoodles Everyday stamps, Cricut plus Stretch your Imagination,Versamagic chalk inks in white, brown, green and brick red, String and a Circle punch.

Starting to get into the Christmas mood with Christmas decorations this week. Blue, white, silver and bling of course. I cut out a large snowflake for the top and popped a silver snowflake brad in the centre, ribbon and silver twine with beads threaded on for the pinched in bits (I'm sure there's a proper name for these). Then added lots of glitter! …
Materials used – Papers and elements from Jingle Jangle CD, Ribbon, Silver cord, Silver glitter, Beads and Silver snowflake brad.

I’ve been going through my bits and bobs and have been using up stuff I’ve had for ages. I bought these Papermania stickers in a sale ages ago, so it was time to put them to good use. They are quite thin so mounted them onto card and cut out leaving a small border. A little faux stitching and some piercing just for added effect.
Materials used – Kraft card for the cardblank, White cardstock, Papermania flower stickers, My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow papers, Sentiment stamps, Versamagic orange chalk ink, White gel pen Ribbon, Button and Thread.

All things spooky for this weeks challenge. I must admit that I'm not a big fan of Halloween, but did enjoy making the hanging spiders web. Checkout the other creations on the Polkadoodles blog, they are just fantastic.
Please join in with the Halloween challenge. All the DT have worked with the Halloween download which is available here and has 35% off until 31st October. Please remember that you can combine your Polkadoodle entry with three other challenges.

I don’t seem to be getting much done between the Polkadoodles challenges and everything else and another week has flown by. Another fabby sketch from Nikky this week, plus we could use any CD and any stamps. Check out the new double CD Not for Girls which has gone really well on Create & Craft. It contains so much inspiration for making cards for men, something that is always so hard to do. One of the elements are these birds with attitude, they are sooooo cool. Just perfect for the dude in your house.
Materials used - White square cardblank, Papers and elements from the Not for Girls CD, Polkadoodles, Everyday stamps, Brown chalk ink and Fibres.
