What’s on my Workdesk Wednesday

Wednesday, 25 August 2010

Honestly, I had moved everything back into the study, but I seem to have migrated back to the dining room again and again managed to bury the dinner mats!! A colleague at work asked me to make some wedding invitation samples, which she could copy or change as she’s more of a sewer than a card maker. The bridesmaids are wearing green, so plumped for a dark olive green just for the sample, but it turns out they are wearing a much light shade!!

Thanks for your comments – I wasn’t very clear. I’m not making the invites, just creating some samples for my friend to show the bride and then my friend will be making the invites!!

Little Tags

I always seem to end up with loads of strips of card leftover when I cut out my card blanks, so decided to turn them into gift tags. They could also be used for mini cards as well. Used the lovely papers from October Afternoons Ducks in a Row paper pad – soooo cute.

Materials used – Kraft and white cardstock, October Afternoon – Ducks in a Row paper pad, Hero Arts Blossoms stamp, Hobby Arts sentiment stamp, Toga alphabet stickers, Candle, heart and balloon punches, EK Success border punch, Corner rounder, Black and yellow chalk ink, Buttons and Fibres.

Oh what fun, I found Julia’s WOYWW blog via Kath’s blog and thought how interesting. I’m really tidy at work but where crafting is concerned I work in a complete mess. I usually craft in my study but I seem to have migrated to the dining room and made a mess there too!!!! Some new goodies arrived this week which you can just about see in the pic - a set of Tim Holtz embossing folders, which I haven’t tried out yet, October Afternoon Ducks in a Row paper pack, Hero Arts Patterned Flowers stamps and a Flourish background stamp which is buried!! I’m currently making some little gift tags which you can just see in the picture and I’ve just noticed that I seem to have buried some dinner mats too!! Check out the blog, it’s great fun to see what other crafters have on their desks.
