Polkadoodles Challenge 4 – Valentines Card

Friday, 29 January 2010

I set the challenge this week and as it’s coming up to Valentines Day, it just had to be a Valentines card. But we were to use non-traditional colours, so no pink and red. I went for orange and black and just one paper from the Candy Doodles CD for the hearts.

Skiing for my Birthday

Saturday, 23 January 2010

I’ve just got back from a fantastic skiing holiday at Les Arcs 1950 in France. It snowed all day on my birthday and it was so pretty to watch as it covered the plants and trees. It was just lovely to spend two great weeks with my family. Here are just a few of my favourite photos -

Polkadoodles Challenge 3 - Polly

Friday, 22 January 2010

Colouring, colouring, I just can’t get to grips with it, but I had a bash at colouring Polly again. I’ve tried allsorts crayons, brush markers, watercolour pencils etc etc. perhaps I need some lessons. Anyway, we had a sketch, which I turned around, to follow and use red and orange.

Polkadoodles Challenge 1 – Song Title

Friday, 8 January 2010

Wecome to the first challenge of 2010. Aren’t these dogs so cute and were just perfect for this challenge. We were to use the new Back to Nature CD and a song title. As you can guess by the title on the card I chose Puppy Love by Donny Osmond. Just used a couple of papers from the CD and some eyelets and ribbon.

Snow, snow and more snow

Thursday, 7 January 2010

Wow, we don’t get this very often. Loads of snow. The first photo was taken at night and the sparkly white bits, were the snowflakes caught in the flash of the camera. The tree on the left is our Christmas tree that had been abandoned in the garden. It looked so pretty covered in snow.

The 2nd photo was taken the following morning. We had about 6 inches of snow, which is a lot for us and it kept snowing all day. Our son had dragged the Christmas tree into the middle of the lawn, to catch some more snow with a very sad looking snowman behind.

The last photo is me and was taken at our local park. I’m not a great lover of having my photo taken but I was all warm and toasty.
