Cuttlebug Spot - Lace

Tuesday, 26 June 2012

The Cuttlebug Spot is taking a break for the summer, so this is our last card for a few weeks. For our last challenge, we would like you to use lace on your card. This can be stamped, die-cuts, border punches, real etc. I used this cute giraffe from Paper Smooches for my card. I've really enjoying using their stamps, they are such fun.

Materials used - A6 white card blank, Pink and white cardstock, Free magazine papers, Paper Smooches Zoo Crew and Sentiment Sampler, Artemio Down on the Farm, Memento Rich Cocoa ink, Promarkers, Lace and Diamond Stickles.

Less is More - Paper Piecing

Monday, 25 June 2012

I just love paper piecing so I had to join in this week at Less is More. It's a great way of using up little scraps of paper and looks so effective. I've used one of my favourite stamps by Hero Arts, paper pieced it and then chopped it up. I've kept it simple, one aqua patterned paper, a gem and a few drops of stickles.

Cuttlebug Spot - Shades of Blue

Tuesday, 12 June 2012

It was disgusting here yesterday - rain, rain and more rain. There has been local flooding just up the road from us, but thankfully we are OK. Will we ever get a summer?

Fathers Day is approaching and unlike Mothers Day, they are on the same date here and in the US - 17th June. Our theme this week at the Cuttlebug Spot is to create a card for your dad  in "Shades of Blue". I have used scraps once again to create my card, plus this lovely stamp from Paper Smooches. I've recently discovered these fun stamps. I had to restrain myself as I wanted to buy them all :) If you've already made your Fathers Day card, please create a card for any occasion but still featuring Shades of Blue.

New Baby Boy

Wednesday, 6 June 2012

My sons pre-school leader has had a baby boy called Dexter. I haven't seen him yet, but I understand he's very cute. I made a selection of baby cards that the mums and children could buy at pre-school, including the one below. They had sold out as it seems they have had a run on new babies lately!
