So for my last challenge it’s an Easter theme. There are so many images that come to mind when we think of Easter, the Easter bunny, chocolate, the cross, chocolate, cute little chicks, more chocolate and of course the Easter egg. So pop on over to Cuttlebug Mania and create for us an Easter project which must feature an egg.

At Cuttlebug Mania we’d like you to make a funny project, to make a joke, perhaps for April Fool, a prank, but most of all to put a smile on someone's face. I went for the smile and created this fun Anniversary card with a play on words. Not happy though as when I ran my embossing folder through my Cuttlebug it snapped off the corner. Thankfully it was only a small piece but still annoying!!

Dots have to be one of the most popular patterns in card making. You can see them everywhere, on paper, embossing folders, ribbons, stamps and more. I’ve used the very popular Swiss Dots (what would we do without it) embossing folder on my card plus some dotty scraps of paper that came free with a magazine. I’ve also popped a dot in the centre of my flower. We’d like you to get Dotty at Cuttlebug Mania and show us how you’ve used your dots.
Materials used – Black, white and pink cardstock, Cuttlebug plus Swiss Dots embossing folder, Olivia alphabet dies and XCut Smoothie alphabet dies, Scrap dotty paper, Stampin Up scallop border punch, Half Pearl and Wink of Stella clear pen.

Texture can add so much dimension to a project. You could choose to use metal, wood, fabric, felt, buttons, ribbon etc . What other products can you think of that could add texture to your project for our challenge at Cuttlebug Mania. I’ve used felt scraps to make my tree plus some ribbon and embossing. Apologies for the slightly blurry photo, but my son was playing with the camera and I can’t seem to get it back as it was.

Red and white looks so striking and can be used for so many types of cards. I’ve used these colours to make a Valentines card for my husband. I layered some white cardstock at angles onto a backing sheet then embossed it. I cut out the hearts and mounted the centre one on foam squares to give some dimension.
We’d like to see this vibrant colour on any project of your choice over at Cuttlebug Mania. Perhaps you still have a Valentines card to make like I did, an anniversary or even male card. Whatever project you choose we want to see a touch of red or a big splash of red. There’s a great prize to win, so pop on over and enter your project.
Materials used – White and red cardstock, Cuttlebug plus Sizzix Crush on You texture plate, Cuttlebug Hearts dies and Memory Box Parker upper alphabet dies and Ribbon.

Welcome to 2014 and I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. I had a great time spending it with my family but wow, didn’t it go so fast. Hope you all got some lovely new crafty goodies to play with. My sister bought me a gorgeous stamp set and some new embossing folders which I will feature on my cards soon. I also got some new ribbons, Promarkers and some fun scissors shaped like an owl.
We start the new year at Cuttlebug Mania with a distressed challenge. Not distressed after the festivities but distressing on your cards. You can ink, sand, rip etc on your project. I chose to distress the edges on the dress and panels with a craft knife.
